How we start our day can influence how that day goes. Putting our focus on the Lord is helpful, I believe.
Being human means that we do indeed have weaknesses. And it’s important to be honest with the Lord when we are feeling weak in an area of our lives.
If you are struggling with your eating and weight loss journey, then be honest with Him about that. Ask for His involvement, include Him in your struggle, snuggle up close for the love you need.
Grace is Empowering
I am re-reading a book that describes Grace as like a waterfall flowing from the throne of God. We are to be receivers of this grace, soaking it up as we sit quietly (and throughout the rest of our day continually). This Grace will empower us to live victoriously rather than having to struggle with our sin for the rest of our days.
For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
Romans 5:17 NIV
Pray for Your Day
And from this time of soaking in the Grace of God, ask God to empower you in the area(s) you need help, saturating you with His wisdom, love, nature, power, and strength. This is a powerful way to dedicate and focus your day – for what lies ahead. Then, continue to be aware of His Grace flowing to you as you go through your day. Tap into it, receive it, approaching the throne in your time of need. The Lord is here to empower you. Remember as a Christian you are never alone!
