I am reading a small book by Graham Cooke titled, The Language of Love. It is helping me to understand more about the love of my Father towards me. Quotes from this book will appear here in bold black print (pg. 45).
Christians can look at God and thank Him for their deficiencies, for He covers all those weaknesses.
I am getting a revelation of something birthing in my spirit. It’s exciting, scary and a bit vague, but I am sensing a glimpse into something about God’s love and grace covering my condition. My friend and vocal coach, Evelyn, said something that has been brooding in my spirit since I met with her recently. She advised me to pray and ask for the anointing of God when I have the opportunity to lead worship, as His anointing will cover my lack in singing and pitch issues. That concept has helped me to relax a little about the fact that I still have weakness in singing after all the work I have done to correct it. It has helped me to see that I can offer my best and He will take up the slack. Wow!
All Christians live their lives by the grace of God. Our deficiencies are more than made up for by the Holy Spirit. God can and will make up the shortfall in our lives.
Here are the words I heard my Father speak into my spirit as I was journalling:
“Instead of looking at your shortfall, look at My fill. See how I fill in for the lack. Rejoice in shortfalls – because that is where I take over and people see ME!”
Whoa! Wow! My weaknesses are an opportunity – for others to see the Lord! This is mind-boggling to me. What about you?!
